Jesus came to provide a special gift for you.
The Bible tells us that we are sinners. We are always doing wrong things in God’s eyes.
- Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and are continually coming short of God’s standard of righteousness.”
The Bible also assures us that because we are sinners, we will spend eternity in hell when we die.
- Romans 6:23 – “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life.”
The special gift for you.
The special gift that I mentioned was Jesus dying on the cross and shedding His blood for our sins in order that God could forgive us.
- Romans 5:8 – “But God commended His love toward us in that while we were sinners Christ died for us.”
The answer.
The answer is that God will save us from the penalty of our sin if we accept His Son for what He has done for us, repent of our sins, and claim Jesus as our Savior.
The request for God’s salvation is a genuine prayer of repentance.
A Prayer of Salvation:
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open my heart and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and taking control of my life. Thank you, God, for saving me today.
